British Actress Lily James stunned on the August cover of Allure magazine

Lily James proved it was her time to shine, as she stunned on the August cover of Allure magazine where she candidly discussed the pitfalls of getting typecast, as well as the impact of gender disparity in Hollywood.

With her acting repertoire boasting wholesome roles, the British actress, 29, admitted that there was a 'goodness to them she wanted to get away from' - no doubt, hinting that she wanted to take on a grittier, bad girl character.
In the interview, Lily, an avid supporter of the Time's Up movement, also relayed her shock following a meeting with ERA 50:50 - a campaign for equal representation and pay in the entertainment industry.

Lily stated: 'It’s not just actresses moaning for more money. It’s about the direct impact on our communities, and that extends to all things with diversity and women.'

She also admitted that it was still a huge problem in Hollywood, confessing: 'It’s got to be fixed. I’ve got to get more involved.'

As someone who is very regularly seen spilling out of clubs and documenting her personal life, Lily also detailed her struggle with social media.
'I want to be an actor and then have my own life be private. But then I also realise the importance of that platform. Why not use it and for the better?

'And why not really become passionate about something you think could make a difference? For me, I think a lot of the people who follow me might be young girls.

'If I feel like I could be some sort of useful voice to them, then that’s my responsibility and it’s worth taking on,' Lily revealed.

Meanwhile, Lily looked stunning as she joined a whole host of stars to celebrate the premiere of the much-anticipated sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again in London on Monday night.

Lily stunned in the voluminous dress which featured a delicate Parisian print on the full-bodied skirt, while the ribboned bodice highlighted her slender frame.
